Installation of a high-end audio system at Desde Abajo, a unique space where wine and music come together, created by Argentine musician and sommelier Javier Cohen.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The setup was carefully curated to cover the entire room \u2014 a basement over 10 meters long and 5 meters wide \u2014 delivering exceptional sound purity and detail. Javier shared his vision with us: he wanted music to accompany wine tastings in a way that allowed for full appreciation \u2014 both through recorded formats and live performances. As a musician and sommelier, he often concludes events with live music, either solo or with guest performers, creating a rich experience where wine and music become one.<\/p>

The challenge was to design a system that could meet the dynamic and emotionally nuanced demands of this concept \u2014 delivering pure, immersive playback for recorded music, while also adapting effortlessly to live performances, all within a visually and acoustically refined environment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

To meet the level of precision and flexibility required, the entire setup was built using high-end components. At its core, the system features a Krell KSL preamplifier, a Mark Levinson 5105 CD player and streamer, two monoaural Audio Research power amps, and a pair of Tannoy amplifiers housed in custom-made cabinets developed by ifAUDIO, specifically crafted to optimize acoustics in the room.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t

Considering the dynamic nature of the live performances \u2014 which often involve rearranging the space quickly \u2014 we designed custom mobile bases with wheels for each of the three system modules: one for each speaker + amp combination, and a third for the rack housing the preamp and CD player. This modular solution allows either the musicians or the audio system itself to take the stage, adapting seamlessly to each unique performance.
